Fresh off revealing a new greens equipment shed, the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club is set to embark on a new season.

The club located at Victoria Park, overlooking Lake Ontario, received an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant of approximately $45,000 to construct a new shed, as the previous aging building was rotting and leaking.

Club President Bill Arthur says an effort to increase memberships is now on by offering free bowling lessons.

He adds the greens are coming along ahead of the Club’s Open House, which is June 6, also National Lawn Bowls Day.
