Port Hope celebrates community excellence at Civic Awards

The achievements, generosity and community spirit of Port Hope take centre stage at the Capitol Theatre April 30 at the annual Civic Awards Ceremony.

This celebration of the people and organizations that make a lasting difference in the municipality's cultural, social and civic life begins at 7 PM. Admission is free, and residents of all ages are welcome.

The celebration will feature live award presentations on stage, as well as performances from local talent, followed by a reception with a cash bar and light refreshments that come courtesy of a variety of local businesses.

For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be televised on Cogeco YourTV on May 4 at 7:30 p.m., airing on Channel 10, HD 700 or EPICO 100. See your.tv/cobourg-port-hope for additional broadcast times.

The Capitol is located at 20 Queen St. Doors open at 6 PM, entertainment begins at 6:30 PM and the ceremony follows at 7 PM.
