The good news is that construction is beginning on the rebuilding of Beyond the Blue Box after a devastating fire to the popular Cobourg reuse-and-recycle outlet more than a year ago.

The bad news is that the address at 12 Covert St. will affect downtown traffic seeking access to the spacious (and free) municipal lot there.

The Town of Cobourg has announced that, while construction will take place April 23 through Friday, May 15, the street will remain open to vehicular traffic with flagger personnel on-site.

The north sidewalk will be closed during working hours, Monday to Friday, and will reopen at the end of each working day. As for the parking lot, the town bulletin said it will not be impacted.
