A Cobourg woman is facing charges for allegedly kicking officers during a disturbance investigation.

Just before midnight Saturday, police responded to a Division Street address to a belligerent person.

The woman was apparently intoxicated and during the arrest became combative and kicked officers.

She is charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer. She was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
