GTA woman charged with fraud in Cobourg

A Toronto area woman is facing fraud charges for allegedly targeting a Cobourg senior.

Police opened an investigation last October, after a 76-year-old woman was apparently defrauded of approximately $13,000, through an online scheme to invest in cryptocurrency.

The woman was arrested last Friday and released with a future court date.
