Both the police services of Port Hope and Cobourg are temporarily suspending its use of CrimeStoppers, following a cyber attack on the tip line.

The crime reporting platform reported a nation-wide security breach. Both police agencies are assessing the potential impacts the incident may have on operations.

While the service is suspended, residents who want to report a crime, should do so to the police department directly.
