The Campbellford Memorial Hospital is implementing new visitor restrictions due to increased respiratory illness within the hospital and the community.  Until further notice, visiting on the Inpatient Unit will be limited to one visitor at a time per patient.

“These temporary precautions are intended to reduce the risk of transmission and protect the health and safety of our patients,” said Heather Campbell, VP Patient Care & Chief Nursing Executive. “We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our patients, their families, and the community during this time.”

Visitors are reminded that masking is required while in the Inpatient Unit. Individuals who are experiencing respiratory symptoms or who are feeling unwell are asked to postpone visiting until their symptoms have fully resolved.

Officials said this is a precaution to safeguard the health of patients and staff. The Hospital said it will continue to monitor respiratory illness trends in collaboration with public health and will adjust precautions as appropriate.
