Now live on the Municipality of Port Hope's website – the 2025 Year In Review.
A Friday-afternoon announcement described this as an interactive digital feature to celebrate “the milestones, project and initiatives that shaped our community over the past year, highlighting the dedication and innovation of our municipal team.”
A department-by-department review of the year's achievements and priorities, it includes everything “from major infrastructure upgrades to everyday services that support residents.”
The feature also offers a look at those behind-the-scenes efforts that often go unseen but keep the community running smoothly every day.
It's more than a summary, Chief Administrative Officer Mike Melinyshyn said.
“It's a reflection of the collaboration and commitment that define our organization. The accomplishments showcased here demonstrate how we're building a stronger, more sustainable future for Port Hope.”
One section highlight's council's leadership and key decisions in a year where Strong Mayor Powers took effect, underscoring their work to promote growth, inclusivity and community well-being.
“As we look back on 2025, we celebrate the may ways our council and staff work together to deliver essential services and create opportunities for our residents,” Mayor Olena Hankivsky said in the announcement.
“This dedication ensures that Port Hope continues to be a safe, welcoming and forward-thinking community. I'm proud of what we've achieved, and eager to build on this momentum.”
