Cramahe Township's Planning and Development Department has acquired some new faces

The Township of Cramahe is pleased to affirm the implementation of the Planning and Development Department and the appointment of Matthew Coffey as Manager of Planning and Development, effective Sept. 8.

The announcement describes Coffey as “a passionate urban planner, known for his insightful and dedicated disposition. With a background in rural land use planning, transportation planning and environmental stewardship, Matt has worked on a diverse range of municipal projects.”

Coffey holds a Masters Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Melbourne (Australia) and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University.

“He is a recognized and registered professional planner, maintaining the mandatory qualifications with both the Ontario Provincial Planning Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planning,” the press release said.

Originally from Belleville, he is passionate about working with small communities in central Ontario.

“He is excited to support and guide the future growth of our community and eager to make a positive and lasting impact through his new role.”

The township also announces local resident Andrew Keogh's appointment as Planning Co-ordinator.

Keogh holds a Master's Degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Carleton University as well as an undergraduate degree in Science from Guelph University.

“He is a longstanding resident of Cramahe Township and is excited to offer his dedication and support of the important work ahead.”
