Northumberland County brings back Identification and Wellness Clinics

Northumberland County announces two upcoming Identification and Wellness Clinics.
On Sept. 10 in Campbellford and on Nov. 12 in Cobourg, this event provides access to a valid ID – an essential for connecting individuals and families to vital services, employment, housing and other opportunities that support well-being and success.
The Identification and Wellness Clinic can help reduce the barriers to obtaining or replacing such identification – normally a complex and time-consuming process. By bringing together multiple service providers under one roof to offer hands-on help and personalized support, this experience can be simplified.
“Access to identification is foundational for accessing the services that help people move forward,” Client Services Manager for Northumberland County Community and Social Services Jennifer Glover said in the announcement
“We're proud to partner with community agencies and government services to make this process easier and more supportive for residents.”
The clinic offers the chance to connect with a variety of partners in the event, including Northumberland County Community and Social Services (for application assistance for Ontario Works and other supports), Service Ontario (health cards, address changes and Ontario Photo Card applications), Northumberland Help and Legal Centre (program information, birth certificate applications and fee waiver program) and Fleming College Academic Upgrading (flexible skills on-demand and academic upgrading programs).
All residents are welcome to attend this one-stop opportunity to receive help in a safe, supportive environment.
Though walk-ins are welcome and registrations are not required, community members are encouraged to pre-register just to help streamline the process and reduce wait times. Use the on-line form at Northumberland.ca/IDClinic to pre-register.
The Campbellford event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the Career Edge Building, 65 Bridge St. E.
The Cobourg event runs from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 12 at the county building at 555 Courthouse Rd.
