Cobourg Police investigate alleged lotto theft

Cobourg Police says it is investigating alleged thefts of lottery tickets from two gas stations. On September 4, police responded to a report of theft from a gas station on Division Street.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., a man apparently entered the store and while an employee turned their back, the man stole approximately 124 lottery tickets.

A similar theft occurred at a second gas station on Division Street, where approximately three lottery tickets were stolen.

The suspect was seen arriving and departing the area in a navy-blue Dodge Caravan. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
