AUDIO: Brighton to construct new 256-bed long-term care home

Construction is now underway for a new 256-bed long-term care home in Brighton.

The $100,000 million new Presqu’ile Place combines three local facilities. The five-storey building will have four levels of two resident home areas per floor, including dining and activity areas and lounges along with balconies for the bedrooms. Offerings of an outdoor amenity area, multipurpose room, bistro and hair salon. Residents are expected to move in during the summer of 2027.

The design is intended to provide a community, as Brighton looks to modernize seniors care. Mayor Brian Ostrander spoke to the significance of this project.
