Police seek help in find Cobourg man wanted for an alleged violent assault

Police say one man is in custody, while the search is on for another, in an alleged assault in Cobourg Tuesday.

Authorities are looking for Cobourg resident Jason Robitaille. His charges include assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and the use of bear spray.

Police claim Robitaille and a Waterloo man assaulted two men in a wooded area in the Fisher and Kerr Street areas early Tuesday morning.

Police say the two men dressed in dark clothing and wearing face coverings, assaulted the victims with bear spray and a baseball bats.

The suspects and victims are known to each other. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jason Robitaille is asked to contact Cobourg Police.
