Manslaughter charged laid in Warkworth Pen. incident

Northumberland OPP say a man is facing a manslaughter charge in the death of an inmate at Warkworth Institution.

Police say in early January, officers were advised of an incident that resulted in an inmate being transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to another medical centre.

The 30-year-old inmate from Toronto was later pronounced deceased.

Dylan Roberts of Loyalist Township is charged. He was remanded into custody and will appear in court at a later date.
