Once again, Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre will celebrate Women's Day with a luncheon fundraiser that features a compelling speaker.

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre invites the community to celebrate with them at their May 15 Women's Day Luncheon at the Best Western in Cobourg, featuring guest speaker Fallon Farinacci.

A proud Red River Metis, Fallon is a speaker, survivor and MMIWG advocate (speaking up for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls). She has cultivated an incredible community, and uses her online platform to share her story, give back to the Indigenous community and raise awareness for the causes and organizations close to her heart.

The Canadian Women's Foundation has recently announced that she is one of three recipients of this year's Feminist Creator Prize, which recognizes the work of championing critical conversations about gender justice and equality, safety and freedom from harm.

The luncheon also offers an opportunity to network and connect with members of the community, as well as an interesting silent auction to explore.

Cornerstone Executive Director Nancy Johnston extended her appreciation to Speaker Sponsor Part Time CFO Services.

“We look forward to enjoying this inspiring afternoon with our great community and supporters,” Johnston said.

Tickets go on sale April 2 on the Cornerstone website, with proceeds supporting Cornerstone programs and services.
