Northumberland Hills Hospital has set an April 18 deadline for students who wish to apply for this year's Health Profession Scholarship.

Northumberland Hills Hospital reminds local students of the April 18 deadline to apply for their annual Health Professions Scholarship – two awards of $1,500 each for 2025.

The scholarship was introduced in 2003, a long-standing initiative of the board of directors to provide financial assistance to West Northumberland students pursuing a career in the health-care sector. The hope is that, by supporting local students with their academic studies, they might consider NHH in their career path when the time comes to put that education to work.

Applicants must be enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in a full-time study program, and they are evaluated on the basis of academic achievements, extracurricular activities, a personal testimonial explaining their interest in a health-care field, and written references.

Recipients will be announced at a spring meeting of the hospital's board of directors.

For full details, including a downloadable application for and submission instructions, visit the Student Scholarship page on the Careers tab of the NHH website.
