A Warkworth man is facing speeding and impaired driving charges following a traffic stop Thursday night.

OPP say officers were on patrol in County Road 9 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand at approximately 9:15 PM when they allege a passenger vehicle was observed travelling at 113 Km/h in a posted 80 Km/h limit.

Officers administered a roadside breath test, claiming the driver failed. The man will appear in court at a later date. His license was suspended and the vehicle impounded.
