A 41-year-old Cobourg man faces trespass-by-night charges after police investigated a suspicious person call in the east end of the Town of Cobourg.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, police were notified that a man was alleged to be observed lurking at a home in the area of King Street East and Walton Street. He was apparently seen on the home security cameras looking in the homeowner’s vehicle and porch area.

Police attended the address and located the male in the backyard of the property. He was arrested and charged with one count of Trespass by Night. The accused was released on an undertaking and with a court date scheduled for March 19.
