Hamilton Township
For the third year in a row, Hamilton Township has won an international award for its budget package from the Government Finance Officers Association.
Hamilton Township has received the Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its budget package – the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting as well as a major achievement by the township.
Their 2025 budget also earned special recognition for its Long-Range Operating Financial, an additional honour that highlights the municipality's forward-thinking financial planning and commitment to sustainable operations.
To qualify for this international award, the budget must meet nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation in such areas as policy, financial planning, operations and communication.
Chief Administrative Officer Arthur Anderson said the township is honoured to receive this award again.
“We're especially proud of the special recognition for our long-term financial planning,” Anderson added.
“It's a testament to the hard work and commitment of our council and staff, and to the on-going efforts to improve and build on our past successes.
“We're dedicated to ensuring that our budgeting process continues to serve our community well and aligns with our goals of transparency and fiscal responsibility.”
