Cobourg Police make arrests in alleged business thefts

Cobourg Police say two men have been arrested in separate alleged theft of local business incidents. Police attended a business near Division St. and Munroe St., Wednesday, claiming to identify the suspect through security camera footage. The 43-year-old man, on a Conditional Sentence Order is charged with Theft Under $5000. He was held pending bail consideration.

Police on Thursday were called again to a business near Division Street and Munroe Street on a report of a theft. After identifying the suspect, the 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000. He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
