Two out of town drivers are charged with stunt driving, following high-speed incidents on Highway 401 over the weekend.

Northumberland OPP allege that just after noon on Saturday a passenger vehicle travelling eastbound near Port Hope was observed driving at 157 kilometers per hour.

The vehicle was stopped and the 59-year-old driver from Courtice was charged.

On Sunday, just before 1 A.M., it’s alleged that a 20-year-old Mississauga man was driving westbound in Hamilton Township at approximately 179 kilometers per hour.

Both drivers were suspended from driving for 30 days and their vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
