Summer Music Series - August 28: Cruisin' & Greatest of Ease

The final concert for the Northumberland 89.7 FM Summer Music Series was a huge success! The weather was perfect and the the “double header” concert brought a very large crowd to Victoria Park with Cruisin’ starting off the evening at 6 PM with great rock and roll music....people were up dancing and have a wonderful time. The Greatest of Ease finished off the concert event playing many of their original songs from their new album called Past Life Echoes.

Northumberland 89.7 FM would like to thank all those music lovers who came out to enjoy these free concerts, the radio station volunteers who made it happen, Laurie Zabolotny for all the great concert photos and of course the generous support from our sponsors.

Summer Music Series 2019 - August 7: The Offbeats

On Wed Aug 7th Northumberland 89.7 FM had another very successful concert with an enthusiastic crowd of ~170 people coming out to enjoy the rockin’ classic R&B sounds on The OFFBEATS....the rain clouds dissipated and the evening weather was perfect for an outdoor concert and everyone had an excellent time.

The OFFBEATS put on a great show and it was a perfect evening for a free concert in the park and a lucky 50/50 winner went home much richer than when they arrived!

On Wednesday Aug 21 The Fade Kings will be performing their jazz/blues/R&B style music at the band shell....be sure to come out for that concert!

Summer Music Series 2019 - July 31: The Cedarail Band

Northumberland 89.7 FM Truly Local Radio hosted another very successful free concert last night in Victoria Park featuring the wonderful musical sounds of The Cedarail Band.

The evening performance was truly enjoyable for an enthusiastic crowd of 165 attendees on a perfect summer evening. One lucky participant walked away with $177 in cash from the 50/50 draw held at every concert.


If you enjoyed Cedarail last night, they will be performing again at the Northumberland 89.7 Big Beat Live concert on Friday September 13 at the historic Cameco Capitol Arts Centre in Port Hope for our annual fund raising concert along with the Ganaraska Chordsmen, the Colborne Library Ukulele Band, the Greatest of Ease, Coup De Ville and The OFFBEATS. Tickets are available through the Capitol Theatre box office.


Next Wednesday The OFFBEATS will be performing for the Summer Music Series at the Victoria Park band shell. Hope to see you there!

Summer Music Series 2019 - July 10: Colborne Library Ukelele Band

The Northumberland 89.7 FM Summer Music Series concert was another huge success July 10, great turnout of ~ 160 people to enjoy the Colborne Library Ukulele Band....wonderfully entertaining group!!

If you would like to see them (again)...they will be performing at the Northumberland 89.7 FM BIG BEAT LIVE 2019 concert on Sept 13th at the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope along with 5 other popular local performers...this is radio stations annual "fund raising concert" of the year !!
