Pedestrian struck in Port Hope

Port Hope Police say one person is recovering after being struck by a vehicle this morning.

Authorities say a pedestrian was struck while crossing near the intersection of Madison Street and Mill Street South, by a vehicle reversing.

The pedestrian was transported to local hospital for treatment of injuries.

A Bowmanville motorist is charged with careless driving.
