2024 Galalicious brings in $200,000 for Northumberland Hills Hospital

It's all about coming together, Galalicious 2024 Chair Bridget Smith said in the announcement.

“We broadened our community outreach, adding in additional local dining options, some amazing auction items from our valued supporters, and raised considerable funds for our local Northumberland Hills Hospital,” she stated.

The event featured many popular elements from the past, including an exciting community raffle sponsored by Home Hardware Building Centres (in Port Hope, Cobourg and Brighton), a robust on-line auction showcasing supportive local businesses, and the Fund Me auction that raised money to purchase Vital Signs monitors across the hospital.

A joint statement from Foundation Chair Gavin Ivory and Foundation Chief Executive Officer Rhonda Cunningham expressed their thanks “to all those who attended, sponsored, bought an auction item or 50/50 ticket, or made an outright donation through FUND ME.

“Thank you for helping to strengthen local health care. Thank you for believing in the care teams who only want the best for you. Thank you for choosing to make a positive difference in our community. Every day we are reminded of how valuable our health is, and having a strong and vibrant hospital plays a critical role in helping to meet those needs and in the lives of so many. Thank you for joining us on our relentless mission to make care better.”
