Committed to full and open compliance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act of 1996, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit announces that 24 of its employees are on the most recent so-called Sunshine List – making $100,000 or more.
This compares with 27 in 2021 and 17 in 2020.
The governing legislation make Ontario's public-health sector open and accountable to taxpayers, annually requiring all organizations that receive provincial funding to make public by March 31 the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.
“With the leadership support of the Board of Health, the unwavering support of many agencies and community partners, the HKPR District Health Unit staff support the health of the communities in the districts we serve with great intensity and dedication,” board chair David Marshall commented in the press release.
“Staff at all levels have powered through the COVID-19 pandemic response, amongst other endeavours, and we thank them for their continued hard work.”
