Community Care Northumberland is pleased to announce a tremendous success with its Caring For Our Community fund-raising campaign – which exceeded its $125,000 goal by more than $30,000.
A total of $157,130 in support of a variety of community services is the result.
Caring For Our Community kicked off on Giving Tuesday, and the announcement noted that it was seen as an opportunity not only to raise funds but also to help get the word out about the services it provides every day to residents across the county (and the wonderful volunteers who make that possible). The list would include Meals On Wheels, transportation to and from vital medical appointments, and the important services provided by the Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.
Chief Executive Officer Trish Baird extended her thanks in the press release, including a special thanks to the generous anonymous donor who stepped forward to match dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000.
The campaign may be over, but donations are always gratefully accepted – just call 1-855-473-8875 or visit https://commcare.ca/donate/
