Cobourg council and committee remunerations for 2019 released

As per requirements of the Municipal Act, the Town of Cobourg has released figures detailing remunerations totaling $273, 388.62 paid in 2019 to council and committee members.

Mayor John Henderson's $77,262.58 consists of remuneration from service on council ($42,818.91), police service board ($6,135.73 plus expenses of $964.81), Town of Cobourg Holdings ($3,500), county council ($21,685.35 plus expenses of $1,871.14) and the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit ($118 plus expenses of $168.64).

Deputy Mayor Suzanne Seguin's $31,752.49 consists of remuneration from service on council ($31,448.83) and county council ($300 plus expenses of $3.66).

Councillor Nicole Beatty's $27,513.55 consists of remuneration from service on council ($23,649.48 plus expenses of $3,399.03) and the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority ($385 plus expenses of $69.58).

Councillor Aaron Burchat's $29.785.21 consists of remuneration from service on council ($23,649.48) and the police service board ($6,135.73).

Councillor Adam Bureau's $23,557.38 consists of remuneration from service on council ($23,649.48).

Councillor Emily Chorley's $25,425.56 consists of remuneration from service on council ($23,649.48 plus expenses of $1,868.18).

Councillor Brian Darling's $24,074.92 consists of remuneration from service on council ($23,649.48) and the GRCA ($330 plus expenses of $95.40).

Details were also offered from remunerations paid to members of the various advisory boards, such as the police service board – Dean Pepper ($8,304 plus expenses of $4,508.36), R. Kerr ($5,730.37 plus expenses of $2,672.30) and S. Graham ($5,172.93 plus expenses of $1,050.60).

On the committee of adjustments, members included Peter Delanty ($750 plus expenses of $1,430.32), B. Gutteridge ($750), A. Hudson ($750 plus expenses of $1,298.15), B. Marr ($850) and A. Smelko ($750).
