Art Fundraiser for Digital Mammography Unit

Summer just got a lot more beautiful with the announcement of a new fundraiser in support of Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation. Summer Rhapsody: An Art Exhibition and Sale is a one-of-a-kind show hosted by Betsy Miller, an expressionist artist whose studio is located in Cobourg.

Mrs. Miller is opening her home to the public on Thursday, August 31st for a viewing of her collection.  25% of the proceeds from all art sales will be donated to NHH Foundation towards the purchase of a Digital Mammography Unit for the Clay & Elaine Elliott Women’s Health Centre.

Art enthusiasts are invited to attend Miller’s exhibition and sale at her studio from 4pm to 8pm on August 31st.  Her studio is located at 875 Carlisle Street in Cobourg.  Northumberland Hills Hospital’s President and CEO, Linda Davis, will be in attendance to give special remarks at 6:00 p.m.

“I’m excited to open my studio to the public while raising funds to provide better health care for our community,” says Miller.  She told 89.7 that if people prefer they can donate cash or cheque rather than purchase a painting.

For those who cannot attend the reception, private viewings are welcomed between now and August 31st.   Appointments for a private viewing are required and can be made by calling Betsy Miller at 905-373-7039.
